About Bossamba
Bossamba
play smooth dinner jazz with a Latin feel... music to make your function
or dining experience a memorable.
They consist of two experienced jazz guitarists. Individually this original combo has played with some of the world's leading jazz guitarists including the great American Jim Hall.
They specialise in music from the great American songbook together with the best in Brazilian Bossa Nova. For example...
- Gershwin (Lady Be Good)
- Cole Porter (Love for Sale
- Thelonious Monk (Round Midnight)
- Duke Ellington (Don't Get Around Much Anymore)
- Van Heusen (I thought About You)
- Alan Jay Lerner (On A Clear Day)
- Antonio Carlos Jobim (Quiet Nights, Triste, Desafinado, Girl from Ipanema, One Note Samba)
They are regulars at the Marsden Jazz & Hebden Bridge Festivals and have been quoted as having a "strong sense of musical dialogue-fluent & melodic improvisation with compelling grooves".
Their sound can enhance an event without dominating it. They warmly compliment any social atmosphere or gathering. And they can be augmented by double bass and/or drums to add greater depth, volume and additional spectacle.
In all of these combinations Bossamba are sure to create that extra
touch of sophistication to any function or dining experience.
