About Footprints

Footprints Jazz DuoFootprints is a piano and saxophone combo consisting of Alec Robinson (piano and keyboards) and Geoff Atherton (alto and tenor saxophones). They both studied at Leeds College of Music where they met and have since been performing together professionally for over two years.

Footprints specialises in a light and mellow style of smooth jazz, creating a sophisticated and relaxed atmosphere ideally suited for restaurants, wedding receptions, corporate events and private functions. They can tailor their performances to suit every mood and occasion and their wide musical repertoire includes popular standards from the American songbook, Latin and Bossa Nova tunes, and up-tempo 1960s R'n'B hits. They cover songs from Burt Bacharach to Frank Sinatra, from Elvis Presley to Marvin Gaye! Their set includes such numbers as:

They have established a reputation through word of mouth and enjoy repeat bookings in hotels & restaurants in the Yorkshire area. They can turn up the volume for an upbeat set of Pop and R'n'B yet they can contrast this with a cool sophisticated set of jazz and bossa nova standards ideal to compliment a fine dining experience or drinks reception.
